This is a Painting of my photographs from a series titled "Unfamiliar World". It is photorealistic, I paint in several styles and have not worked this way in over 15 years. I am mostly a Metalsmith now. However you can find more of my 2D work below! 2D is incredibly sophisticated as what we thought was important has been removed. "In this series I'm not here to express myself, I'm here by way of my detachment – a view of the city from outside human associations. When a photographer looks to take a photo, there are angels or compositions that are probable - compositions that reflect one's life, compositions that reflect motive, compositions that display skill and then there is that which is outside of these motives... My compositions are reached perhaps by some other factor that I don't completely understand - that makes me an artist."
